ZDRUŽBA PUHASTEGA HRASTA IN ČRNEGA GABRA
Ostryo carpinifoliae–Quercetum pubescentis (Horvat 1950) Trinajstić 1977
Združba puhastega hrasta in črnega gabra je conalna združba submeditenskega območja in jo najdemo na različnih legah in nagibih na karbonatni podlagi. Tla so rendzine. Združbo puhastega hrasta in črnega gabra uvrščamo v zvezo Ostryo-Carpinion orientalis. |
The Ostryo–Quercetum is a zonal forest community of the submediterranean region of Slovenia and is found on various aspects and slopes on calcareous bedrock. The soils consist of rendzic Leptosols. The climate is submediterranean, the annual rainfall is 1,250 mm, and the average annual temperature is 12o C. Diagnostic combination of plant species The forest stands take various forms but are primarily mixed stands of coppice and seed source trees. The tree layer is normally high, between six and fifteen meters, and covers between 80% and 90% of the surface. Both the shrub and herb layers are well developed. The Ostryo–Quercetum pubescentis is not important from the point of view of acquiring wood. Above all, it serves a protective role since it safeguards the area against the rigours of the weather and the soil against erosion. After World War II, many meadows were abandoned. Today they have been gradually overgrown by the association Ostryo–Quercetum. The Ostryo carpinifoliae–Quercetum pubescentis is classified in the alliance Ostryo–Carpinion orientalis. |
